Ultrasonic Velocity Gauges
Ultrasonic Velocity Gauges are used to determine material types based on their sound velocity and in the foundry industry you can determine cast iron types based on the relationship that exists between nodularity and sound velocity. Measurements require that you know the thickness of the test piece that can be entered manually or with the use of a digital caliper connected to the QSV.
